Your Kind of Love

   I've tried to move past
the pain of you, but no
matter what I do I can't.
   My poor heart remains in
pieces, charred and scarred
by your kind of love.
   Desperately, I try to scrub
you off my skin, erase
your memory. Purge myself
of thoughts of you, cleanse
my soul of your kind of love.
   Asleep and your face
brings nightmares, dreams
of what could have been. I
lay still and your face
haunts my mind, your kind of love.
   Killed me with your kind
of love, destroyed all hope of
life with your kind of love.
Left and betrayed by your
kind of love.
